I don’t follow football

First off let’s get something straight right off the bat I am talking about American football. I don’t follow it as closely as people around me. For example my wife is a rabbit buffalo bills fan as is my son. My in-laws are all ravid buffalo bills fans being that the family origin is in Buffalo. And why don’t I follow football? Growing up outside of New York City I had a choice between two losers the New York Jets or the New York Giants. And with a team like the New York Yankees in the same region that’s all you need. Sprinkle the Mets on and that’s a bonus. Having moved out to Cleveland Ohio and there perennial losers to Cleveland browns there’s never really been anything to cheer for. I never really played football as a kid so I didn’t get any sort of introduction to the game that way. What I did was usually pick up games with the neighborhood kids which were more like kill the guy with the ball then actual football. I will say the one thing that I do like about football and football season is the food. I will gladly go to a game, meaning watch it on TV somewhere, if food is being provided. My brother-in-law does a fantastic spread and it’s not your typical order pizza order wings and be done with it… It’s full-blown lasagnas and briskets and barbecue. It’s the best thing in football season for me! Since it’s usually on a Sunday I can use that as a cheap date and pig out pig out.
