Spent most of today trying to debug why a specific website that our company owns would not come up. Didn’t matter what I tried on my one computer I just could not get the site to show up in brave. Spent nearly 4 hours debugging testing trying on other browsers where woodwork trying on other computers with brave where it would work but just could not get it to work on my main computer. Had a conference call with two other devs we went over this couldn’t figure out what the hell’s going on why no JavaScripts were being loaded why the site wasn’t coming up why I wasn’t seeing anything in console log.
And here it is 6:40 p.m. and I figure out that there’s an extension that toggles JavaScript and yep the little icon up in the corner said off. Since this is a WordPress website and is heavily dependent on JavaScript nothing was showing up.
What a waste of a day and my fault.
