Again? Why am I seeing this ad? Every every time I turn on the TV I see the same ads. And they’re totally missing the mark. I am not in a demographic that uses makeup… Goes on luxury cruises… Stays at luxury hotels… Or needs a new roof. I’m mainly talking about YouTube ads. The ones you can’t skip.
Does YouTube know something I don’t know? That I have Crohn’s disease? I keep seeing the same advertisement for some pharmaceutical to help my Crohn’s disease…
The other disease that YouTube thinks I have is psoriasis. Yes I had to look that one up on Google on how to spell it.
I can’t count the amount of times that I have purchased something from a website and then for the next month I will see an advertisement for the same thing I have purchased. There’s an old adage in sales which is don’t sell what’s already been sold. Yes I understand about segment retargeting but how many times am I going to buy web services from the same company? Are they just trying to reinfore the brand with me to make sure that I am confident on the choice that I’ve made?
I literally have no brand loyalty other than anything but Apple. So advertising to me through digital means on YouTube or on placement ads on websites I’m blind too.
I’ve explored a couple ways of skipping ads on YouTube but as of recently more and more of their ads are playing and requiring me to sit through the whole thing. I’m not buying YouTube premium for 50 bucks a month that’s outrageous to watch the crap that I watch.
Anyway someone please tell me why I’m seeing an ad for mitigation of my Crohn’s disease?
