I heard an interesting theory of why mankind hasn’t spread out into the stars yet and been exploring the galaxy and universe. And it’s basically because of economics. There is really no benefit in putting mankind into space to explore. The closest star is several light years away while mankind cannot reach the speed of light and even if they could it would only be fraction of it. The economics of space travel is for a very very long return. The current economic system that we have expects returns on a short-term level. If a return doesn’t come in the first 7 years then it’s considered a failure.
